The ability to improve your balance and reduce fall risks is in your hands and it is never too late to start improving your balance. This workshop will explain why our risk for falling increases as we age, as well as provide exercises and strategies you can use to reduce those risks. This is an interactive workshop – you will be practicing skills at your own fitness level that will enhance your four balance systems, as well as taking home useful handouts and resources.
Pain Management with Self-Myofascial Release

Fascia is a type of connective tissue that plays a key role in flexibility. This ever-changing tissue adapts in relationship to aging, repetitive movement and lack of movement. And though these changes start at an early age they often show up in mid-life as stiffness, over-use injuries or just general lack of flexibility.
This workshop will explain the factors that lead to inflexibility and the specific needs and physical limitations we may face because of tight fascia. You will leave with SMR techniques you can do on your own. Equipment cost: $4

Healthy arteries and veins are a priority as we age because we know that when they are unhealthy – stiff and/or gunked-up – they are a key contributor to stroke and heart disease. A combination of the right food in the right quantities, along with exercise, can go a long way in keeping are cardiovascular system healthy and reducing the risk of disease, even if you have a genetic predisposition.

ACE Health Coach, Mia Bremer, has experienced unchecked anxiety in the past and found tools to overcome its influence. She has years of experience coaching people living with mental health disorders and, as a personal trainer, also knows that the mind and body work together.
